Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer & Victor Furtado with special guests Rachel Eddy & Em Hammond. The concert is at Seeker’s Church, just down the street from SMT.

This concert will showcase the old time banjo’s versatility from traditional southern tunes to contemporary versions of old and new songs. There will be solos, duets, trios and a kick-a stringband!!! All star cast and fun promised.

Cathy will be joined by long time partner, Marcy Marxer. Marcy reinvented the role of the Cello Banjo for old-time and folk music after borrowing one from Mike Seeger. Now Gold Tone Instruments makes the Marcy Marxer Cello Banjo! She’s also a wiz kid on the tenor banjo and banjo uke.

Special Guests: Rachel Eddy & Em Hammond
Rachel grew up on old-time music in Morgantown, WV playing fiddle, banjo and guitar. They drive a rockin’ square dance and is an elegant accompanist and singer. Em Hammond rocks the bass, and plays a mean guitar.
