SMT is Expanding Into Takoma SPARK!

This is the big news we have been excited to share!
SMT will be opening the our doors at Takoma SPARK on November 1, and that will be our new home base.
All private lessons, group classes & workshops, and jams will occur at SPARK. And we are already cooking up some new events to host in our large event space, including open mics and a performance series!
We’re thrilled about a few key features of SPARK:
We will be sharing SPARK with two partners: a luthier associated with the House of Musical Traditions, and Justice Arts Coalition – an organization that sells artwork on behalf of incarcerated artists.
We’ll have an official Grand Opening in January – stay tuned for details – and we hope you’ll join the celebration!

- A large event space
- A waiting and reception area
- Free parking immediately adjacent to the building
- Handicap-accessible entrance to a single-story building
