Beatrice Blumenthal
Beatrice (Bebe) is a violinist who specializes in classical violin and bluegrass fiddle. She grew up in Chicago and played primarily classical violin until she began college, where she then dove into bluegrass fiddle. She attended Denison University and graduated with a B.A. in music performance and bluegrass. During her time there she performed with and helped direct the bluegrass ensemble, performing at festivals and opening for touring bands.
Bebe loves to teach students of all ages and levels. Her students spend time learning to sight read, play by ear, build technique, and develop solos, while also pursuing their individual goals. Bebe believes in a well-rounded music education and loves to mix in skills from multiple genres of music. She is passionate about making lessons comfortable and engaging, and wants her students to feel excited for their practice.
Bebe also teaches mandolin and banjo.
