William Brauneis

Immersed from a young age in the folk music scene of DC, William has an extensive repertoire of old time, country, and cajun songs and tunes. He is an award-winning old-time fiddler who also has years of classical training in piano and music theory. His teaching strengths include ear and rhythm training, presenting music theory concepts in intuitive ways, and helping students to find practice routines and jamming opportunities which foster their joy in music. William is also a songwriter and tunesmith, who has performed with various groups in New Mexico and is excited to continue his musical journey back on the east coast.
