Joey Jenkins is a drummer in the DMV area who has been teaching for over a decade. His diverse drumming background is mainly focused in blues, rock, and hip-hop styles, but includes jazz and experimental music as well. Joey regularly performs with the Baltimore-based ilyAIMY and the DC-based Emma G, and has toured the US and New Zealand playing their original music. He is a multi-instrumentalist who releases music under the name Silence Echoez and is often called to sit in on new projects and with old acquaintances. When he is in town he is often performing at our weekly Tuesday open mic, so come through and see Joey and the gang Tuesdays at 7pm!
