Manuela has been playing the violin since she was 3. She primarily studied under the Suzuki Method, a classical pedagogical approach based on learning music by ear. These studies led her to become interested in improvisation and composition. Manuela has a bachelor’s degree in Music Composition from the University of Maryland. Her love of teaching comes from years of practice mentoring her sister with Down Syndrome, who also plays the violin.
