I am very good at communicating a way to accomplish a difficult technique. I never want my students to feel like it's too hard, so I try to tailor my lessons to where they are. Sometimes this means changing what I am teaching on the fly because some parts need to be better explained and worked on at a different level.

Since I am an electric violinist I help students understand the equipment side of electric violins. Whether it's buying an electric pickup, or a solid body electric violin, and/or which amplifier(s) to use. I also help people figure out equalization approaches that make an electric violin sound good. I embrace both the electric and acoustic violin, and have taken violin places where they generally don't go. I like watching students have fun with music. There is a certain amount of work that is required that can be tedious, but the basics lead a student to an easier time of it for the harder things. I like playing with my students, and giving them the one on one encouragement they need to progress.
